VILLAGE OF BRIARCLIFF Village Council Public Hearing Minutes – September 18, 2019

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Aldermen Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston and Hertel. Absent: Alderman Richmond.

Mayor Hostetler explained that the fiscal year 2019/2020 Budget has been discussed at Finance Committee meetings and the Public Hearings and will be approved in this Regular Meeting.

Mayor Hostetler explained this year there will be a 3% decrease in the tax rate. The 2019 proposed property tax rate is .0542 on each $100 valuation of property and the proposed interest & sinking rate is .0777 which amounts to $20.00 a year on a $400,000 House.

Gary Lesko had a few questions and there were no comments or questions from the Council.
