Regular Meeting — January 2019

Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes- January 30, 2019

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Aldermen Elliott, Bowles, Hertel, Johnston and Richmond.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Alderman Hertel made a motion, seconded by Alderman Elliott, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the January 11, 2019 Public Hearing. All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bowles, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the December 5, 2018 Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Elliott read and gave a review of the financial reports for November and December, 2018. No comments or questions from the Citizens or Council.

Mayor Hostetler called the Election to Order for May 4, 2019. Electing a Mayor and two Alderman.

Mayor Hostetler updates about ongoing activities:

Reminder: Trimming oak trees is prohibited in Briarcliff from February 1 through June 30. The purpose is to help curb the spread of oak wilt in our area.

We have published a news bulletin regarding the recent shooting in Briarcliff. It is online on our website and a Nixle alert has been sent to all that signed up to receive.

Chief DeLira gave a brief update.

City Administrator, Aaron Johnson gave a brief update regarding City Business.
