Mayor Hostetler updates about ongoing activities:

Watering restrictions: Although the lake is full, we still need to conserve water. Drought will come. Customers are limited to two days per week using automated irrigation systems. Check the website for details. There are violators and they will receive citations if they keep over watering.

I have met with the Constable Deputies to increase enforcement of drivers in Briarcliff. I understand that speeding and reckless driving has increase since Chief DeLira left. That’s one of the reasons I hated to loose him since he was on top of that problem. I stressed with the Deputies that we need to increase enforcement of the speeding drivers.

Starting July 1 you may again trim oak trees. However, wounds must be treated immediately after trimming.

I have sent messages out to AT&T and Spectrum to please move their lines to the new PEC poles that have been erected so that the old poles can be removed. I’ve now got points of contact from AT&T and Spectrum regarding this issue and others with them so I know who to call. We’ll see if they respond.

City Administrator, Aaron Johnson was not present.

Mayor Hostetler explained that Aaron asked him to report the following information: Water plant sanitary survey passed. New meters are still being installed. Please sign up for Eye on Water.
