Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes- October 30, 2019

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Present: Aldermen Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston, Hertel and Richmond.

Mayor Hostetler asked if there is any Citizen Communications.

Alderman Hertel made a motion, seconded by Alderman Elliott, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the September 18, 2019, Public Hearing. All in favor, Motion passed.

Alderman Hertel made a motion, seconded by Alderman Elliott, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the September 18, 2019, City Council Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Richmond read and gave a review of the financial reports for September, 2019.

Mayor Hostetler gave an update about ongoing activities:

We’ve had a few instances of water leaks at homes causing large water uses. Again I strongly encourage you to sign up with the Interactive Water Account β€œEye on Water’. It’s free and allows you to view and then regulate your own water use.

The security camera system at the front entrance has been restored. We again have license plate capability.

National Night Out October 1 at the Briarcliff Park was a success with the fire department and two Constable Deputies attending. Thanks to the volunteers for assistance.

Bill Crowley has spearheaded an effort to rejuvenate the buoy replacement program along the cliffside of Lake Travis. We’ll be working with the LCRA to complete the process.

Our new law enforcement contract with the County started October 1 and our new dedicated deputy has been with us daily since then. Introduce Sergio Flores from Constable Precinct Two.

Mayor Hostetler read the Constables Security Report.

City Administrator, Aaron Johnson was not present. Mayor Hostetler reported nothing has changed from last month per Aaron.
