Mayor Hostetler gave an update about ongoing activities:
I’ve joined the effort with Travis County to prepare for future significant disaster events in our County that might require a Reunification Center. The plan is for exercises throughout the year with a symposium late 2021.
I have submitted our renewal of being certified as a Firewise Community and it has been accepted by the National Fire Protection Association. They brought us new signs which will be put up at each entrance.
We have joined the Travis County Emergency Management System’s Hazard Mitigation Plan for 2022. I’ve attended one meeting so far. I plan to have resident Charles Reagan give us a presentation on the FEMA approved plan process at an upcoming meeting.
The BPOA voted to approve providing the Village a request that we develop and enforce a parking ordinance in the Village. Since we have a draft ordinance already done, I’m hoping it won’t take long to get a new draft to the Council for your review.
