Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes- January 29, 2020
Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Aldermen Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston, Hertel and Richmond.
Mayor Hostetler asked if there is any Citizen Communications.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Hertel, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the December 4, 2019 Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes. All in favor, Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond read and gave a review of the financial reports for November and December, 2019.
Mayor Hostetler called the Order of Election of May 2, 2020, for the purpose of electing three Aldermen for the Village of Briarcliff.
Alderman Hertel made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to amend Article 9.02, Code of Ordinances of the Village of Briarcliff, Texas, updating the law enforcement area since we now are using a dedicated Constable Deputy for Enforcement. All in favor, motion passed.
Mayor Hostetler gave an update about ongoing activities:
No trimming Oak Trees as of February, 1. If you have a broken branch let the Village know since you will need to request a variance.
Six new Homes have been approved.
Mayor Hostetler read the Constables Security Report: Two home burglaries, 17 traffic stops and 62 community contacts.
City Administrator, Aaron Johnson reported nine water taps are being installed. Cat Hollow has been paved by Lonestar Paving and looks really good.
