Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes August 25, 2021
Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Present: Aldermen Aldrich, Richmond, and Taylor. Absent: Alderman Elliott and Johnston.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the August 19, 2021, Finance Committee Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.
Alderman Aldrich made a motion, seconded by Alderman Richmond, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the August 5, 2021, Finance Committee Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the July 28, 2021, Public Hearing. All in favor, motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the July 28, 2021, Regular Monthly Meeting.
All in favor, motion passed.
Alderman Richmond gave a brief review of the revenues and expenses of the July, 2021 financials.
Mayor Hostetler gave an update about ongoing activities.

Daily activities for August, 2021 include the following:
Patrol every street for visibility purposes to deter crime, taking calls for service, self-initiating personal contact with the community to build a better partnership, stationary and rolling radar for compliance of the speed limit.
Monthly patrol hours: 168
Total of 58 calls for Service, 5 Traffic Stops, 0 Citations, 5 Warnings, 0 Close Patrols, 6 Community Contacts.
City Administrator, Aaron Johnson announced some good βnewsβ the Village of Briarcliff applied for a grant from Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) and it was approved.
