Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

Present: Alderman Elliott, Johnston, and Taylor. Absent: Alderman Aldrich and Alderman Richmond.

Citizens present: Thomas Maione, Michael Olszewski and Gary Coy.

Alderman Taylor made a motion, seconded by Alderman Johnston, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the June 29, 2022, Village Council Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.

Village Clerk gave a brief review of the revenues and expenses of the June, 2022 financial statements.

Keith Neffendorf, Partner-in-Charge of Neffendorf & Blocker, P.C. to presented the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021 Audit.

Alderman Elliott made a motion, seconded by: Alderman Taylor to approve the year end September 30, 2021 Audit. All in favor, motion passed.

Mayor Hostetler gave an update regarding ongoing activities:

Mandatory outdoor watering schedule: May 1 – September 31. Still in effect. Our system is struggling to keep up. Please call us if you view offenders. BTW, houses on the lake don’t count since they may be pulling water directly from the lake.

I mentioned last month that Travis County is initiating an effort to organize Travis County evacuation efforts. Linda Aldrich has volunteered to take over the effort as our representative. Thank you, Linda for volunteering.

There are at least three sets of tree trimmers for PEC working Briarcliff. I’m trying to watch that they paint the cuts. It’s always the same crews and they’ve all been talked to. So far, no objection.

After y’all agreed to my unofficial poll last month about including the Cat Hollow area in our zoning, I’m working on it. Plan to get a draft document to the attorney in the next couple of weeks. This is a major project – lot’s of issues involved.

Travis Appraisal District just sent us the result of appraisals in Briarcliff. The total appraised value increased by $120 million from last year.

Scott Ginnetti #262, Sr. Deputy Constable, Travis County Constable’s Office Pct #2 commented there was nothing out of the ordinary this month.

City Administrator, Aaron Johnson reported everybody is using a lot of water and Wednesdays seem to be the worst. With the water being warm the zebra mussels are dying. Some chemical will have to be given to solve the problem.
