Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes August 30, 2023

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.

Present: Alderman James Johnston, Alderman Richmond and Alderman Taylor.

Absent: Alderman Elliott and Alderman Aldrich.

Citizen Communications. Caroline Logan questioned the exemptions for Senior Citizens.

Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of July 26, 2023, Public Hearing. All in favor. Motion passed.

Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the July 26, 2023, Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor. Motion passed.

Alderman Richmond reported nothing out of the ordinary for finances for the month of July, 2023.

We now have instituted Stage 2 Water irrigation phase. The only significant change from State1 is now we can enforce the rules and we plan to do just that now that we have the signs placed in all areas using our water.

Travis County has approved Phase 1 of the development of Travis Club which is along Thurman Bend Road on the opposite side from Briarcliff. I met with the developer on Monday. Name is “Castle Hills” when we discussed numerous topics.

Constable Deputy Cerrillo Law Enforcement Report, July, 2023 Quiet month/Traffic/Stop Zones and National Night Out October.
