Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes June 28, 2023

Mayor Pro-Tem Aldrich called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Alderman Elliott, Johnston, Richmond and Taylor.

Absent: Mayor Hostetler

Citizen Communications: Caroline Logan commented that the Village of Briarcliff has no property tax exemptions for senior citizens. Caroline will research for the exemptions. Debbie Brown commented that her back fence adjoins 1100 trail at Daviot fence is down.

Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Elliott, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the May 31, 2023, Village Council Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Richmond reported nothing out of the ordinary for the month of May, 2023.

Alderman Johnston made a motion seconded by Alderman Taylor to Authorize Mayor Hostetler to sign any paperwork required in conjunction with the transfer of the road right of ways and other parcels to the Village of Briarcliff. All in favor, motion passed.

No ongoing Village activities.

Constable Deputy Cerrillo reported no issues this month of June except stop signs.

Aaron Johnson, City Manager reported currently we are under the mandatory water restrictions. The water tank on top of the hill has run for 12 hours constant. Should be following the two day watering schedule. Drought contingency plan, LCRA requirement. Looking for a water leak someplace. Million acre feet 900,000. Intake 637 usable water 20-25 feet in the cove and 618 barge.
