Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes March 29, 2023

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Alderman Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston and Richmond.

Absent: Alderman Taylor.

Citizen Communications: Darcy Baylis different deed restrictions are not all the same. Are there any other streets that are not paved? Cathay McGee would like to have speed limit signs on the Cat Hollow Loop.

Alderman Elliott made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the February 22, 2023, Village Council Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Richmond, Treasurer reported normal nothing out of the ordinary for the month of February, 2023.

Matt Poehlmann, Big Country Custom Homes presented the history of the plans to develop lot 900 Cat Hollow Club Drive. He submitted the plans to Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), July 5, 2022. Mayor Hostetler thanked Matt Poehlmann for his presentation.

Mayor Hostetler has the final draft from the Attorney. Will have to put it off until the next meeting. Letter will go out to all of the people affected in the Briarcliff North District. Publish in the newspaper. Make sure to send to Matt Poehlmann, formal draft, public hearing no formal vote.

Mayor Hostetler update about ongoing Village activities: Possibility of transferring the roads from Briarcliff Property Owners Association (BPOA) to the Village of Briarcliff will be voted on at the annual meeting, Saturday, April 15th.

Deputy Cerrillo gave brief announcement about loose dogs which he makes sure to be in contact with both homes, daily passes. He will continue. Dogs need to be on a leash. Brown medium size border collie. Invisible fence. Sinclair and a black and white dog, older dog.

Law Enforcement Report brief overview of activities for the month of March, 2023. Daily activities include the following: Patrol every street for visibility purposes to deter crime, taking calls for service, self-initiating personal contact with the community to build a better partnership. Stationary and rolling radar for compliance of the speed limit and traffic enforcement for traffic violations. Monthly Patrol hours: 160 hours Close Patrols 7 and Community Contacts 32

Aaron Johnson, City Administrator reported regular maintenance, main break discovered and it was up to two million gallons. Easements for water transmission line.
