Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes October 25, 2023
Mayor called the meeting to Order at 7:00 pm.
Present: Alderman Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston, Richmond and Taylor.
No Citizen Communications. Three Citizens were in attendance at this meeting.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the September 13, 2023, Public Hearing Minutes. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Johnston made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the September 13, 2023, Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of October 9, 2023, Village Council Special Meeting Minutes. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond reported the departmental General Fund and Utility Fund revenues and expenses for the month of September, 2023.
Alderman Elliott made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to adopt Village of Briarcliff Resolution No. 2023-10-25-09. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to approve the Updated Drought Contingency Plan For Municipal Water Use for the Village of Briarcliff. Prepared by Aaron Johnson. All in favor. Motion passed.
Mayor Hostetler announced he had to put the road work paving off due to rain this week. There will be daily Road Maintenance. Lonestar Paving got the Bid. Briarcliff Burn Ban has been lifted. Next meeting will be December 6th.
Constable Deputy Cerrillo alerted the Mayor and Council that there was a suspicious vehicle 2019 gray Charger with black wheels. If anyone sees this vehicle please try to get the license plate number. Very few traffic stops this month. DEA take back drugs from10 am to 2 pm Saturday. Take Back Drugs.com
Aaron Johnson, City Manager reported in addition to updating the Drought Contingency Plan, updating landscaping, and new requirements for new pools. Enforce thru an ordinance 6 inches of soil. Irrigation systems. Water plant and a bunch of break downs. Water Transmission lines, Engineer drafting has been done.
