Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes September 13, 2023
Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Alderman Aldrich, Richmond, Johnston and Taylor.
Absent: Alderman Elliott
Citizen Communications: No Citizens were in attendance at this meeting.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the August 30, 2023, Public Hearing Minutes. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by: Alderman Taylor to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the August 30, 2023 Regular Monthly Meeting. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond reported the departmental General Fund and Utility Fund revenues and expenses for the month of August, 2023.
Alderman Johnston made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to amend budget 2022-2023. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Johnston to adopt the Ordinance 2023-09-13-09 for the annual budget of the Village of Briarcliff for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Aldrich made a motion, seconded by Alderman Richmond to adopt the Ordinance 2023-09-13-10 for the annual property tax rate and interest & sinking fund rate of the Village of Briarcliff for 2023-2024. All in favor. Motion passed.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to approve new house permit of $5,000 and $1,500 Builders packet.
Alderman Richmond made a motion, seconded by Alderman Taylor to approve Village Fence Resolution (no change in rules). All in favor. Motion passed.
Constable Deputy Cerrillo Law Enforcement Report, August 2023. Speeders will have no more warning citations. Daily activities include the following: Patrol every street for visibility purposes to deter crime, taking calls for service, self-initiating personal contact with the community to build a better partnership and stationary and rolling radar for compliance of the speed limit.
Aaron Johnson, City Manager gave his report regarding water system. Business as usual. There were 21 High end users. Property lineβs and Tinerβs easement moving forward.
Mayor Hostetler had several announcements: Amber is an Eagle Hawk keeping up and sending out letters to high water users. TSCO National Night Out on October 6th. Trunk or Treat β BPOA Social Club.
