Village of Briarcliff Village Council Regular Meeting Minutes April 24, 2024

Mayor called the meeting to Order at 7:00 pm.

Present: Alderman Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston, Richmond, and Taylor.

No Citizens were in attendance at this meeting.

Alderman Richmond a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the March 27, 2024, Regular Monthly Meeting Minutes. All in favor. Motion passed.

Alderman Richmond reported nothing out of the ordinary for the departmental General Fund and Utility Fund revenues and expenses for the month of March, 2024.

Mayor Hostetler gave a reminder to everybody about the Crawfish Boil at the Fire Hall.

Deputy Constable Arnold Cerrillo Law Enforcement Report for April, 2024. Daily activities include the following: Patrol every street for visibility purposes to deter crime. Taking calls for service. Self-initiation personal contact with the community to build a better partnership. Stationary rolling radar for compliance of the speed limit. Total of calls for service: Assist other Agency (3), Check Welfare (1), Suspicious Person/Vehicle (3), Community Contact (61), Directed Patrol (38), Select Traffic Enforcement, Citation (1), and Warnings (2). Monthly Patrol Hours 178H.

City Manager, Aaron Johnson said he is still working on waterline. Narrowing down the easements. Once that happens it will be set in stone and they will do that and finish up the details. (2322 first phase) just to get it going Bee Creek and up. Better value smaller Contractors coming in. Dibrell property it may go to a single owner one or two houses. Conservation District seven acres 14 Houses. The Village of Briarcliff would like to buy Dibrell’s seven acres.
