Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Mayor Hostetler, Aldermen Charlesworth, Johnston, Aldrich. Absent: Alderman Taylor and Richmond.

Citizen’s communications: Residents asked if The Village’s Financials are posted to our website. Mayor Hostetler informed them that they were. Resident took pictures of the entrances not having “No Soliciting” signs. Same resident asked about the Police Car sitting at the Water Plant, Mayor Hostetler explained we are working on getting the car gone. Resident also requesting speed bumps and complaints about speeding in Briarcliff. Also asked about updates regarding Constables. Separate Resident asked about e-bikes being allowed on trails. Mayor’s response was no they are not. Questions about upcoming Elections for the Village, Mayor responded that our Elections were cancelled due to running unopposed. Resident asked how often are elections and the Mayor explained they are every year. The Mayor also explained the process of our Elections.

Alderman Johnston made a motion, seconded by Alderman Charlesworth, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the February 26, 2025 Regular Meeting. All in favor, Motion passed.

Village Financial Report for February 26, 2025 read by City Secretary.

Alderman Aldrich made a motion, seconded by Alderman Johnston to approve Neffendorf & Blocker to conduct our 2024 audit. All in favor, Motion passed.

Alderman Charlesworth made a motion, seconded by Alderman Johnston to amend Fence Resolution 2023-10-25-09. All in Favor. Motion passed.

Update about ongoing activities: Mayor Hostetler gave more information regarding why we are changing our Fence Resolution. A resident here in Briarcliff has painted their fence bright pink. The Village now will be requesting information on what color the applicant is painting their fence. If the color can be considered a nuisance it will be denied.

Security Report: Officer Edwards informed the Residents that they need to call 911 for suspicious occurrences instead of posting it on social media. He also advised the Residents to shut garages and lock vehicles.

City Administrator stated we are installing a 12-inch main line. Surveyors have been out and everything should be set up soon. We will be setting additional fire hydrants once we are able to set new 12-inch main line. Met with Engineers for generators.
