Village of Briarcliff Special Meeting of the Village Council Minutes April 12, 2023

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Present: Alderman Aldrich, Elliott, Johnston, Richmond and Taylor.

Citizen Communications: Darcy Baylis is asking for Transparency. Final zoning draft was not posted on the website. Proposes a solution using a Committee to work for not against.

Mayor Hostetler will have the final draft posted on the website after it is approved by the Council. (900 Cat Hollow Club Drive will be zoned multi-family in final draft.)

Matt Poehlmann would like to work with everyone. He thanked the Mayor for zoning 900 Cat Hollow Club Drive multi-family.

Alderman Taylor had some questions and concerns regarding the road’s need to be widened, parking issues and Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) relating to water, Texas Commission Environmental Quality (TCEQ). No permit has been done or nothing submitted.

Aaron Johnson, City Administrator said we have to know what is actually proposed.

Alderman Taylor made a motion, seconded by Alderman Aldrich, to approve final zoning draft and move forward for the zoning change for the Cat Hollow Club Subdivision District (renamed Briarcliff North Subdivision District). All in favor, motion passed.

Alderman Elliott made a motion, seconded by Alderman Johnston for Approval of Resolution 04-12-23-05 Amending the Village Building Program. All in favor, motion passed.
