Village Council Special Meeting Minutes October 9, 2023

Mayor Hostetler called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.

Attendees: Mayor Hostetler, Alderman Johnston, Elliott, Aldrich, and Richmond.

Absent: Alderman Taylor.

Mayor Hostetler explained the bidding process for paving roads this year. We received three bids for paving all of Sleat Drive then portions of Briarcliff Drive along the lake. The process will be the contractor will mill the existing deteriorated asphalt to a depth of 4” in numerous areas, and pave back in with 4” of Type 8 HMAC. Then the entire stretch of Sleat and part of Briarcliff will be overlayed 2” thick with Type D HMAC.

The winning bid was $209,215.68 by Lone Star Paving.

Alderman Elliott made the motion to adopt the bid, seconded by Alderman Johnston. Unanimous vote to adopt the bid.
